Overview of insurance conditions at jumingo

Subject of the insurance
The contract applies to all worldwide transports and associated storage of goods of all kinds, insofar as they are not specifically listed under "Non-insurable goods".

Goods are divided into the following groups of goods:

Goods group A (General commercial goods, new and packaged):
Commercial goods of all kinds, unless they are listed in the following product groups B, C and D. Related goods are to be allocated to the goods listed in the following product groups B, C and D according to their meaning. These goods can be insured up to a maximum liability amount of EUR 20,000 per means of transport/interim storage due to transport without special request. Higher sums only on request.

Goods group B (General commercial goods, ew and packaged):
Special commercial goods can be insured without special request up to a maximum insurance sum of EUR 20,000 per means of transport or warehouse. In the case of insurance sums exceeding EUR 20,000, contributions, terms and conditions, security agreements and other risk preconditions demanded by KRAVAG must be agreed with jumingo and Kravag prior to the commencement of risk. Special trade goods are:
Alcoholic beverages (from 15%),medicines (medicine),computer components (electronic memory, data carriers and processors),real carpets, electronics, photo and film equipment, photovoltaic systems, used goods, glassware, ceramics, cosmetics, motor vehicles, Laptops, air/space vehicles, machines with a high proportion of electronics, medical devices, motorcycles, mobile telephones, new furniture, PCs, smartphones, solar modules, spirits (customs),tobacco products, tablet PCs, temperature-controlled goods, consumer electronics, incl. Sound and music carriers, boats.

Goods group C (General commercial goods, ew and packaged):
For the following goods, contributions, conditions, security agreements and other risk preconditions demanded by KRAVAG must be agreed with Jumingo and KRAVAG prior to the commencement of risk:
Alcohol (unpaid duty),plant construction, antiques, cotton (maritime transport),damaged goods, chemicals (sea transport),personal effects, explosive goods, fibrous materials, fresh fruit/vegetables, spices, nuclear fuels, art objects, bulk goods in tankers and bulk carriers, ammunition, nuts, plants (living),radioactive materials, green monkeys, raw materials.

The insurance cover is only valid after special approval by jumingo and Kravag. An automated order confirmation by jumingo is not considered as insurance cover.

Goods group D (Non-insurable gods):
Jewellery, documents, drugs (according to the law on narcotics),real pearls, precious metals, precious stones, objects made of precious metals and precious stones, money in coins and notes, jewels, cheques; credit cards, valid telephone cards, certificates, securities of all kinds.
An automated order confirmation by jumingo is not considered as insurance cover.

Scope of insurance
In principle, the form of cover - full coverage - in accordance with DTV Güterversicherungsbedingungen 2000 in the 2008 version (DTV Güter 2000/2008) applies to all transports.

The insured shall bear a deductible of 15 % of the insurance benefit, at least EUR 150 and not more than EUR 2,500 per consignment and claim..

Provisions for claims
All damages must be reported to Jumingo GmbH in writing without delay, but no later than after 7 calendar days at the latest, and the "Instructions for conduct in the event of damage" specified in the contractual basis of the contract must be strictly observed.

If goods are lost, the insurer will pay compensation as in case of total loss. The goods are lost if 60 days have elapsed from the time of their planned arrival, or 30 days in the case of air transport, and no information has been received from the policyholder or insured person about their whereabouts. If the communication is disturbed in connection with war, warlike events, civil war or civil unrest, the period shall be extended to a maximum of six months, depending on the circumstances of the case.

In the case of expenses denominated in foreign currencies, they are translated into the policy currency at the exchange rate on the loss date. The insurer waives any recourse against the policyholder and his employees. However, the insurer is entitled to take recourse against any person who intentionally causes the damage.
