To ensure trouble-free pallet shipping, you need to consider the following:

  • A pallet must be able to be moved and loaded by one person using a regular lift truck
  • Make sure that the goods do not protrude beyond the pallet
  • Secure the goods well on the pallet - e.g. with straps
  • Protect your goods well from the outside - a simple stretch film is not sufficient, as it cannot absorb impacts or the like
  • Use a certified pallet (e.g. EPAL)

If you ship goods on a pallet, you must include the pallet dimensions (e.g. pallet height 14.4 cm), otherwise you can later expect an unsuspected and often costly additional charge from the shipping service provider.

A standard Euro pallet (EUR 1) is 120 cm long, 80 cm wide and 14.4 cm high. The weight can vary between 20 and 24 kg depending on the moisture content of the wood. The pallet's own weight must also be taken into account.

For each shipment there is a suitable Euro pallet with different dimensions and characteristics:

  • EUR 1: 120 cm x 80 cm x 14.4 cm; 20 - 24 kg (standard)
  • EUR 2: 120 cm x 100 cm x 14,4 cm; 30 - 35 kg (industrial pallet)
  • EUR 6: 80 cm x 60 cm x 14,4 cm; 9,5 - 14 kg (half pallet)

For international shipments, please make sure that you use a certified pallet (e.g. EPAL).
