Shipping suitcases via JUMiNGO is possible. However, there are a few important points you should consider when shipping your suitcase:

  1. If a suitcase is shipped without additional packaging, the suitcase itself counts as packaging. In the event of damage, you will then not be entitled to compensation for damages.
  2.
  3. Shipping service providers have different maximum limits for shipping suitcases, which usually range between 25 kg and 31.5 kg. We therefore recommend that you check before packing whether your suitcase complies with the maximum values and which provider you can book the shipment with.
  4.
  5. Some shipping companies require a lock when shipping suitcases for insurance reasons. Therefore, plan this step ahead. You can purchase appropriate locks in any hardware store.
  • Get a cardboard box that fits your suitcase and which offers a little extra space
  • Fill the empty spaces with cushioning material, so that the packaging only transfers a small amount of load to the suitcase, even under pressure
  • Seal all the openings of the box with tape so that it cannot be re-opened
  • Make sure that the wheels and handles of the case are also protected
  • Attach the transport documents to the outside of the box so that they are clearly visible
  • At the beginning, knot the foil at the handle
  • Then wrap the suitcase generously with several layers to ensure that the suitcase will not suffer any damage, even if it is bumped or banged on edges
  • Once you have wrapped the case sufficiently, fix the foil horizontally and vertically with adhesive tape
  • Make sure that the wheels and handles of the suitcase are also protected
  • Finally, attach the transport documents (in a transparent foil pouch) to the case so that they are clearly visible
