An export accompanying document (EAD / ABD in German) is required for shipments with a value of goods of 1,000.00 EUR or more (or a total shipment weight of 1,000 kg or more). The document must be visibly attached to the outside of the shipment. You can use a transparent foil pouch for this purpose.
The following information is required to create an export accompanying document:
- EORI number (not necessary if the sender is a private individual)
- Original commercial invoice
- Customs tariff number
- Dimensions, weight(s), and number of packages
- Sender and recipient address
When ordering your shipment, you have the option to add the creation of an export declaration under the "Additional Information" section. This option is only available if your total value of goods exceeds 999.99 EUR and/or your shipment weight exceeds 999.99 kg.
The cost of creating the export declaration is 59.49 EUR. Please note that preparing an export accompanying document takes approximately 2 business days.
Note
Do not dispatch your shipment until you have received the EAD. Without complete shipping documents, the shipment may be disrupted. As a result, the transit time is often significantly extended or the shipment may even have to be returned with costs.
