General customs information

Shipments sent within the EU are duty-free. If a shipment is sent to a non -European third country or important from such a country, the shipment always passes through customs.

Influence of goods value on required customs documents

Shipments with a total value up to 999.00 EUR

For consignments with a total value of goods + shipping costs + insurance charges of less than 1,000.00 EUR, only a proforma and/or commercial invoice is required. Three copies of this invoice must be attached to the shipment as well as the shipping label. You are welcome to use a transparent foil pouch for this purpose.

Shipments with a minimum value of 1,000.00 EUR or a minimum weight of 1,000 kg

For consignments with a total value of goods + shipping costs + insurance charges of 1,000.00 EUR or more (1,000kg or more respectively), an export declaration is required to successfully clear customs. The declaration must be placed in a clearly visible position on the outside of the shipment. You are welcome to use a transparent foil pouch for this purpose.

JUMiNGO can help you to obtain an export declaration for your shipment - fast and hassle-free. Click here to learn more about how to order an export declaration at JUMiNGO.

Return shipments

If your shipment is a return shipment of goods, please make sure that the shipment and its content are clearly marked as a return consignment on all enclosed documents (both on the invoice and on the summary of contents on the consignment note).

If not declared visibly, the recipient will have to pay import duties in order to receive the consignment.

This can lead to considerable delays, additional costs and possibly even a return.

Document shipments

Document shipments up to 1 kg and without commercial value are exempt from customs duties.
