Whether you’re shipping domestically or internationally, it’s important to follow a few key steps to ensure your parcel is delivered on time and without complications. Below are the main points to consider when shipping to China:
1) How to Properly Pack a Parcel for China
For shipments from Germany to China, your parcel may travel over 8,000 km and go through multiple stages of handling - including customs and cargo flights. Proper packaging is essential to prevent damage.
Choose packaging suited to your goods. Standard, sturdy rectangular boxes are usually best. Leave enough room between the contents and the box walls and use cushioning materials like foam inserts or corrugated cardboard. Place them so they absorb shocks effectively without being wrapped too tightly around the item.
2) What Are the Allowed Parcel Sizes for Shipping to China?
Carriers use a formula called girth measurement to determine parcel size limits: (Height + Width) × 2 + Length, in centimeters.
As a general rule, the maximum girth is 300 cm, with a weight limit of 31.5 kg. If your parcel exceeds these limits, it is considered bulky freight.
JUMiNGO also handles bulky parcel shipments to China. The final price includes both volumetric and actual weight.
For express shipping, maximum dimensions may vary depending on the carrier. Refer to our shipping calculator for more information.
3) How to Correctly Enter Delivery Addresses for China
To ensure smooth delivery to China, it’s essential to enter the full address correctly. Start with the house number, followed by the street name and city. Make sure the postal code and city name are accurate. It’s also recommended to include the word "China" in English.
